Now don’t get me wrong, most web hosts are available 24/7/365 because, well, websites don’t sleep!

However, I digress.

In other words, anytime I had a question or something needed to get fixed; it usually was solved during the chat. If it couldn’t get resolved right then and there, it was within 24 hours. Unfortunately, I cannot say that about all of my previous web host experiences…

Let’s be real; we can tell when a company puts on a front when trying to help you solve an issue. For example: when all of their answers are (complete crap) blanket statements.

Let’s face it, as small business owners, many of us aren’t comfortable with tech jargon or what in the heck is even happening when our website is down. The one thing that we usually do know is when something is “broke.”
In short, if an FAQ or step-by-step manual gets to be too much, don’t try to power through and break your site further. Instead, give them a call or open a chat and let them know what’s happening.
8. Site migration is super easy, fast, AND free
One thing that I’ve experienced (and dread) is a site migration.
Migrations can sometimes cost $200+ depending on the size of your website. In general, site migration fees can be difficult to determine as many web hosts usually have some sort of “surprise” a-la-carte item(s) that need to get added during the migration and are usually also necessary, but unexpected.
Guess what? Not with GreenGeeks because site migrations are free! They’ll do them for you, and even migrate email accounts if you have them with your site! Just make sure to let them know if you have email accounts before they start. They can go back if necessary, but being proactive has never hurt anyone.
